The Red Barn Farm, originally the Cooper Dairy Farm, was founded in 1907 by Walter Cooper, the uncle of actor Gary Cooper. For over six decades, the farm operated as a dairy before transitioning to beef cattle in the late 1960s. The property features a gambrel-roofed hay barn from 1925, alongside a grain silo and milk barn built in 1953. Recently restored from near collapse, the historic barn and farm are now available for event rentals.
Efforts to revive the century-old heirloom apple orchard include grafting old trees onto new rootstock, with the first two acres completed. The farm, aiming for organic certification, currently raises hens, offers seasonal produce, and sells fresh eggs year-round. Additionally, they manage eight beehives with plans to expand and harvest honey biannually. Recognized as a historic landmark in King County, the barn is also listed as a heritage barn in Washington State.
