At Akasha retreat, guests are presented with an invaluable chance to reside in a picturesque old monastery, nestled amidst the splendor of nature. Each day, they can partake in meditation, yoga, sound healing, and various other holistic practices, led by skilled and passionate instructors.
Beyond the structured daily program, visitors are encouraged to embrace the pleasure of being fully immersed in themselves and their environment. The surrounding area is renowned for its natural beauty, offering opportunities for leisurely bike rides, scenic walks, and visits to nearby historical landmarks. Alternatively, guests may simply revel in the tranquility and serenity found within the confines of the retreat center itself.
We offer 2 ways of practicing karma yoga with us: as a resident (minimum 2 months) or as a non-resident in our center. From September 2023 on we will mostly work with non-residential karma yogis and will have the resident-option only sporadically.
As a non-resident volunteer (karma yogi) you join our team for specific retreats, always from the beginning until the end of a retreat. This is usually for about 4 days. During these days you can stay over in our center and afterwards you return home. Volunteers work an average of 5 hours a day.
