Bjørkhaugen is a small family farm located 1 km from the Trondheim fjord, 150 m above sea level. The farm covers around 60 hectares and is run entirely on biodynamic principles.
The farm aims to be as diverse as possible. It has a milk production with 10 cows, as well as 2 working horses, all of traditional Norwegian breeds. The farm grows vegetables for its own use and produces firewood and building materials.
The farm tries to develop an ecologically sustainable lifestyle, including in its household practices and use of energy and resources.
In addition to its farming activities, the farm also sells organic veal and beef from the traditional Røros cattle breed. These DEBIO-certified organic products are available for purchase.
