Land of Joy came into existence in 2010 under the spiritual guidance of Lama Zopa Rinpoche, and they organized their inaugural retreat in May 2015. Nestled in the serene and tranquil Northumberland National Park, their breathtaking location offers an ideal environment for individuals to detach from their daily routines and explore or rediscover a different perspective.
They pay homage to the teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and maintain affiliation with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), a part of the Gelugpa tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
Operating as a residential retreat center managed by volunteers, they offer a comprehensive retreat program throughout the year. This program encompasses introductory courses and retreats, universal weekends, and tantric retreats of varying durations.
