Waihuena Farm is a vibrant community nestled in Haleiwa, Hawaii, with a rich history rooted in sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship. Founded by Meleana Judd-Cox, the farm serves as a sanctuary for residents, CSA members, volunteers, and visitors seeking to connect with nature and cultivate a sense of community. The farm’s mission to promote peace, health, and wellness is evident through its small but impactful CSA program, which offers an alternative to mainstream agribusiness by providing fresh, locally grown produce to its members.
Located at 59-414 Kamehameha Highway, Waihuena Farm stands across from the famous Pipeline surf break, offering a picturesque backdrop for its endeavors. Despite its modest size, the farm exudes a sense of purpose and dedication to caring for the land and fostering sustainable practices. Through initiatives like farm tours, classes, volunteer opportunities, and events, Waihuena Farm is not just a place of agricultural production but a hub of learning, collaboration, and shared experiences. The diverse team of individuals, ranging from farmers and yoga instructors to maintenance staff and hospitality professionals, embodies the spirit of community and cooperation that defines Waihuena Farm’s ethos.
