About Keveral Farm:

Keveral Farm stands as a vibrant organic farm community nestled near Looe, Cornwall, located in the picturesque southwest of England. Its origins trace back to 1973 when the community was first established. Today, the farm operates under cooperative ownership and management by its dedicated members, totaling 12 adults.

Residents of Keveral Farm reside in various accommodations including a farmhouse, static caravans, a charming wooden cabin, and a renovated barn conversion. Together, they foster a sense of belonging and stewardship, working harmoniously to uphold the farm’s ethos of organic farming and communal living.

About Work Exchange Opportunity in UK at Keveral Farm:

To volunteer with us, you must be enthusiastic, fit and willing to work hard. We do not need many volunteers this year – you may be the only one, or there could be two of you.

You may be able to stay in the main farmhouse, or if that is not possible, you will be based in our Visitors Barn (which is also used by some campers in the summer). You will sometimes eat with your host, and sometimes you will prepare your own meals.

If you are based in the Visitors Barn, you may not experience community life fully, and you must be happy to spend time by yourself. But we do our best to look after you, and volunteers usually have a good experience here.

We each have our own individual projects, which include vegetable growing (outdoor and in polytunnels), soft fruits, orchard, apple juice and cider, campsite, woodland, and general land management. We do not have any animals, apart from a few hens.

Volunteers will usually work with different community members, either on personal projects or for the community.

Accommodation is a small caravan, the Visitors Barn, or camping.

It’s best if you arrive on a Saturday or Sunday, so that the working week is Monday to Friday.

The working day is usually 9-5, so after breaks that is about 6.5 hours of work per day.

You will have days off and free time for exploring and relaxing – usually two days off for each five days worked.

We are 15 minutes walk through the woods to the beach at Seaton, with great walks along the beach and coast path.

Wifi is available in the house.
