Mount Lebanon Residency stands as a sanctuary for artists, researchers, and farmers committed to nurturing the arts in New Lebanon, NY. Within this vibrant community, they embrace artists as conduits for universal love and personal evolution, recognizing their capacity to channel worldly experiences and inspiration.
Mount Lebanon Residency seeks artists and experimental thinkers for a month-long residency in August 2023.
The program provides residents with lodging in the old Shaker Forge, organic vegetables, and a communal kitchen. In exchange, residents spend one day a week working at the Abode Farm or contributing in their own way to the community.
For 2023, residents will have the opportunity to create works using the resources available at the Shaker Museum of Mount Lebanon, home to the world’s most comprehensive collection of Shaker objects, archives, and books.
